Inclusion and Connectedness is when our community members all have the same opportunities to participate in every aspect of life to the best of their abilities and desires.

Ipswich City Council is developing an Inclusion and Connectedness Plan that helps reduce and remove barriers experienced by people with disability in our community.

Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts in this engagement, helping us to share an inclusive Ipswich. Your feedback has now been reviewed and incorporated into the final Inclusion and Connectedness Implementation Program.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this engagement. The feedback shared has played a significant role in shaping the final program. A summary of the findings can be seen below.

Who was involved?

What did you say?

Feedback gathered from the community sat within the below key themes. These were then used as the six areas that set the direction for council's Inclusion and Connectedness Implementation Plan.

As part of engagement activities, community members also shared what they saw as priorities for making Ipswich a more inclusive and connected region for people with disability. This information was particularly important in identifying which actions to prioritise under the "accessible services" area of the program (see page 8-11 of program).

How you shared

There are two surveys to help us gather information about connectedness and inclusion so we can hear from both people living with disability and those who assist people living with disability.
Please complete the survey relevant to you.
