About the Ipswich Arts Advisory Group

The Ipswich Arts Advisory Group (IAAG) is a dedicated collective of volunteer community leaders committed to fostering the growth of Ipswich’s creative sector. As a key initiative of the Creative Industries Action Plan, the IAAG works to:

  • Promote arts and culture across Ipswich.
  • Provide strategic advice to Ipswich City Council on arts and cultural priorities.
  • Foster connections that create opportunities for creative professionals.
  • Amplify the voice of Ipswich’s arts community in council discussions.

Following a successful first term, council is expanding the IAAG and inviting passionate arts and culture leaders to help shape the city’s creative future. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of arts and culture programs across Ipswich.

Council encourages applications from:

  • Individuals living with a disability
  • Young people (under 30)
  • People from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
