Notification of Works - 19 April

Building rectification works will continue to progress in Bell Street, Ipswich through till Friday 7 June 2024. Once the rectification works are complete, demobilisation of the work site will proceed.

Rectification works will occur from Monday to Friday from 7am through till 5pm and include:

  • West Moreton Health building rectification
  • Ipswich City Square building rectification
  • Removal of scaffolding, safety barriers and fencing
  • Demobilisation of work site

It is anticipated these works will take eight weeks to complete, weather and construction constraints permitting.


What to expect?

  • Rectification works will include restoring building fronts on each side of Bell Street where the pedestrian overpass was connected.
  • Removal of scaffolding, safety barriers and fencing. Temporary one lane closures of Bell Street may be required to facilitate removal.
  • Reduced speed limit to 40km/h through the work area.
  • Temporary footpath closures in Bell Street in front of the buildings will occur, and alternative pedestrian routes will be signed.
  • No impact to Queensland Rail Services or Ipswich Train Station access.
  • No impact to Translink bus services for the duration.
  • Heavy machinery within the work zone.
  • Some minor noise and dust associated with these activities. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.
